Are Membership Sites Worth the Money?

Is Paying a Membership Site worth the extra money every month to get help and advise for your home business?
I say yes. When starting your online business your going to have a lot of information overload. Your going to have a lot of your own ideas of how to get started, and your going to have a lot of other people trying to sell or give you information on how to start.
A Membership Site can be a wise decision for most people who are just starting a online business.
The reason for this is you have someone to show you the basics of running a internet business. And then take you by the hand to teach you more advanced methods so you can be successful.
I don't know if I am the only person that started a online home business that didn't know how to set up a Auto-Responder.
I didn't even think of using a Auto-Responder! I didn't think of building a list. Or even know how to go about it. I didn't know how to give away a gift or even where to get one to give away. And I didn't know it was such a great idea!
I was just going to set up a basic website and put some links on it to sell other peoples products. To me that sounded like a good idea.
I thought submitting articles, social marketing, like Twitter, Face Book, and some other popular forums for free advertising would be enough.
Sounds like a basic plan to me. But I didn't know how to really go about setting up the accounts properly. What to put in a article box, or what to put in my bio.
I found making money online is going to be more difficult than I really thought.
Then I got a e-mail one day that said hey do you want a free e-book that will help you create a successful online business?
The first thing I thought was how much? What can it teach me? I already have a plan to get started, and I have already made some money online.
So I decided to check it out. I have received other e-mails offering me coaching and telling me how much money I could make by using there methods. One thing they didn't do is let me check it out for Free. They didn't give away a free gift or offer a preview of there site. They just wanted a credit card number.
A good site will be more than happy to give you a preview of what they have to offer, and most will give you a valuable gift to help you in your business. Something that can be of benefit like a free tool, information, or both.
A big advantage to a membership site is that they will have all the tools you need to get started.
Example: free web hosting, free gifts for you to give away, free templates to create your own site, and not just the one they have.
I never knew how easy it was to use tools like a Auto-Responder, or a html editor until somebody actually showed me. I didn't know you could get a lot of important tools online for free!
I have learned so many more advertising methods and tips that were new to me, but to everyone else it was just basic knowledge.
I have learned how to create a website in just a few hours instead of months of beating my head against the wall.
Now that I am making money online, I still belong to a membership site.
The reason is the internet changes so fast and people are always coming up with new ideas that its really hard to keep up. And by having a group of people around you that can answer your questions, and actually understand what your trying to say is the best tool you can have!
If a membership site sounds like a idea you might be interested in you should look for these basic things before joining.
One what do they really have to offer? Do they teach you how to run a business? Or do they teach you how to sell a product?
Find one that can teach you how to run a real internet business!
Do they have any benefits like free tools for the members to use? Things like cloaking software, templates, free gifts to give away, or products you can use to sell and make money for yourself.
If you join a membership site make sure they have everything you need to start and run your own business. Most will just want you to promote there product. And that really isn't your business.
Price is another factor for most of us. Membership sites charge by the month.
The one I belong to is $27.00 and they go up from there. Some sites cost up to $97.00 a month.
You have to decide what one is right for your business and how much you really can afford to spend every month.
Everyone always thinks the one they belong to is the best. Really the one you feel comfortable with will be the right one for you and your business!
To Your Success!
